Professor Sir Anthony Epstein
Pathologist who discovered the first human virus associated with cancer

Saturday February 10 2024, 12.01am, The Times

Anthony Epstein was at a lecture on children's cancers in tropical

programme in 2014. "I was working on chicken viruses which cause cancer. I
had virus-inducing tumours at the front of my head. I thought ... [it] was
being carried by some insect vector, or some tic." He recalled thinking
that if viruses could cause cancer in birds, why not in humans?

In September, Epstein visited Burkitt at the Mulago Hospital in
Kampala, Uganda, and began to map the incidence of the tumours that
Burkitt was discovering across...

You're correct, as per usual, Louis.

But my colloquialism was not intentional; meant to type Sir Anthony, but neglected to do so.

Realize you're not a big sports guy, Louis, but nonetheless hope your team--if you have one in this LVIII Super Bowl iteration--displays superior play (rather than ending up the beneficiaries of the other squad's major miscues).

hate by my soccer-loving Norwegian mother.
