Paula Josephine Coburn was born on October 31, 1955, in Jamaica to Leroy and
Olive Murad. When she was a baby, her family relocated to Cleveland where
her father became a law professor.

Mrs. Coburn later moved to Washington, DC where she worked and continued her
education in acting. There she hosted a television show called "Real Estate
Digest."

Eventually her love for acting brought her to Los Angeles where she met her
future husband actor, James Coburn. They married on October 22, 1993.

Among Mrs. Coburn's acting credits were "The Set Up," "USA High," "I
Surrender All," and her most recent appearance in "The American Gun," was
opposite her husband James Coburn.

Mrs. Coburn studied in Los Angeles with acting coaches Warner Loughlin and
Howard Fine.

Mrs. Coburn is survived by her stepdaughter Lisa Coburn of Beverly Hills and
James Coburn IV of Playa del Rey. She is also survived by her sisters
Catherine Murad and Elizabeth Ramsey and her brothers Mark and John Murad,
all of Cleveland.

The couple founded the James and Paula Coburn Foundation which makes
specified donations to a number of charities including the Motion Picture &
Television Fund, KCET Community Television in Los Angeles, LACMA (aka Museum
Associates), the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, the SMILE Foundation
and The American Cancer Society.

A private service for Mrs. Coburn will be held later in the week at the
Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park and Mortuary. The family has
asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made the American Cancer Society.
