From the "Nope, nothing to see here folks" file:

https://musicrow.com/2017/10/nashville-attorney-orville-almon-jr-dies/

The article below doesn't say he represented Aldean or the festival, but comments below stated he did, and I found other articles that corroborated it. I'm sure it's just a coincidence:

Nashville Attorney Orville Almon, Jr. Dies
Jessica Nicholson • October 31, 2017 •

Orville Almon, Jr.
Prominent Nashville attorney Orville Almon, Jr. has died.

He practiced entertainment and music law, IP law and business law for over 35 years, representing numerous prominent recording artists, music producers and songwriters, as well as record company executives, music publishers, record companies, television production companies, managers and other clients affiliated with the entertainment industry.

His practice has included re-negotiating existing agreements and new technology issues. He has extensive experience in and is renowned for drafting language for difficult-to-define issues, negotiating with record companies and drafting “issue-specific” agreements. Almon has also successfully negotiated high-profile book deals, including deals for Chicken Soup for the Country Soul and Kurt Cobain Journals).

Almon is a founding partner of Zumwalt, Almon and Hayes. In 2010, he opened his private practice Almon Law.

Over the years, Almon has earned many awards and accomplishments including being recognized in Best Lawyers in America, Mid-South Super Lawyers and by BusinessTN as one of Tennessee’s Best 150 Lawyers. He is a Leadership Music Alumni (Class of 2009), and has been a member of the American, Tennessee and Nashville Bar Associations, and the Country Music Association.

Almon earned his B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri. A distinguished military graduate from the Army ROTC program, he served four years in the Army until resigning his commission as a Captain to enter law school at University of Memphis in 1979, where he graduated from Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law.

While at law school he was selected to the Memphis State University Law Review for his academic achievement and elected to the Editorial Board of the Law Review as Administrative Editor for the 1978-79 school year. Upon graduation he was selected as a member of The Order of Barristers for exhibiting excellence and attaining high honor through the art of courtroom advocacy.

Funeral arrangements have not been released at this time.

What are you implying here??
There are a lot of things about the Vegas shooting that just don't sit right with me:

-For one thing, the three timelines. How does the timeline keep changing when they have security cameras with the time down to the second on the frame all over the place?

-Also, we have not seen one pic of this guy carrying in all of his guns when he entered the casino.

-Also, there are parking lot surveillance cameras all over the place, why haven't we seen any of those yet?

-Then, the security guard who gets shot, then a couple days later leaves the country and goes home to Mexico while being a primary witness to a mass murder event, and after a hard hitting interview (the only one he said he would give) to Ellen DeGeneres (was Steve Harvey not available?) the last I heard he is sequestered.

- A couple who were at the concert and did not get shot were killed in a car crash a couple days ago:

https://www.today.com/news/couple-who-survived-las-vegas-shooting-killed-car-crash-weeks-t118226

- A local Vegas resident named Danny Contreras who witnessed the shooting and reported seeing a second gunman turned up dead last week of lead poisoning:

https://www.reviewjournal.com/crime/homicides/coroner-ids-las-vegas-man-found-shot-dead-in-vacant-home/

- Now this Lawyer dies.

Like I said, nothing to see here folks.

Michael O'Connor did not write the article. Like everyone else
Michael O'Connor is entitled to his opinion on the article and on the
circumstances of the shooting in Las Vegas.

I agree with every point Michael O'Connor has made in his evaluation
of the lack of evidence and information involving the shooting.

If you or Orville's family have issues with the article you can
address them to the web site cited.

Clear?

Yeah, no it’s NOT clear.

Neither one of you have ANY IDEA what happened with Orville’s passing. No hit man snuck in the middle of the night.

You are very much hurting his family and friends that respected this man without ANY KNOWLEDGE OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES.

Look, you can go all black helicopter all you want on Vegas. But it had NOTHING to do with a man who deserves absolute nothing but the highest honor and respect.

Karen you have absolutely no clue what you are talking about. It would appear to me that you have no idea who Orville was or what relation he had to what happened in Las Vegas and to the victims of this horrific attack. Orville was indeed a good man. Somebody to needs to take a closer look at the circumstances surrounding his very untimely death.

I worked for Orville as his personal assistant for 23 years YOU have no idea what YOU’RE talking about. I am so hurt and devastated by the death of my mentor, my friend and confidant that I am willing to defend him against you stupid idiots. I put a Google alert on for his name as I didn’t want morons like you posting shit like this. This man deserves nothing less than respect. If you had any idea about Nashville and Music Row you’d know that.
Put this in front of VIPs on Music Row in Nashville and see who they agree with. Where are you all from? I’m guessing not Nashville. People know the character and honesty and respect for this man, people know I worked with Orville for years. Who knows YOU! No one knows you. You’re a bunch of conspiracy theorists who find out he USED TO represent Jason Aldean and you want to lump him in with this horrific crime. This entire thread and post should be removed so as not to hurt his family.

If you think it sounds like a conspiracy then address the author of

lots of responses from people who say the know orville,
but i'm not sure why they take offense to wondering about whether
he may have died because of involvement with the Route 91 festival.

to me that seems absurd, and maybe someone can explain the emotional nuances about how such a question could hurt the family and friends of someone who passed that they care about.

anyhow, the question as to whether or not orville was actually the lawyer involved with the route 91 festival was not addressed by these concerned friends and acquaintances of mr. almon.

i find it very strange that a concerned friend would make a google-request to block his name in some fashion.
i'm not even sure what such a request means, but it seems like a very odd response to the public being inquisitive about whether or not orville almon was indeed the lawyer for the route 91 festival.

He is/was in the radio biz, but I gather
from his postings here more on the news/talk
side than on the music side (we both were in
the same summer session for broadcasting
studies at Northwestern University long ago).

I've spent nearly 48 years in the music biz
myself, with a resume too long to go into

So I am Orville's daughter. He did represent Aldean but but not the last year of his life. Nor did he plan or have anything to do with the Vegas festival. He died in his sleep of natural causes (not a seizure) after managing a host of health issues his entire life. So all these radical theories are entirely wrong as they didn't even know my dad wasn't representing him at the time.

My sincere apologies and condolences on the loss of your father.

The original article I posted did not mention he did not represent Jason Aldean or the Festival, but I found other articles that did that were now clearly in error. For that, I apologize, but understand in this newsgroup when there is a death I find and I do a news search to see there are stories which mention links from the deceased to Aldean and the Vegas Festival, I mentioned them because that is a pretty big news story. Generally I linked to the most well-known news source if possible.

I do not believe his death to be part of some sort of conspiracy. However, I will not step back from my other comments stating that there are a number of things about the Las Vegas shooting that I have issues with, and still have issues with. Your father's death is no longer one of them.

I agree with this. I also want to know whether the comments of the people
here "hurt" Mr. Almon's family, like the nice lady who was here a few days
ago was so worried that it would.
