Some may know it already, but for those who don't, here is the bad news:

|I don't know how this works. This is Thom's (Retro Guy) wife Kaylen
|Miller. Thom passed away from pancreatic cancer on Saturday morning

He operated the news servers i2pn2.org and the web interface on
novabbs.org. He also created a fork of NewsPortal and developed
rocksolid light (some users here use that).

As the future of those service is currently uncertain, please
familiarize with other ways to participate in newsgroups.

Simply dreadful news!

In terms of a resusitation of the high-living-while-death-focussed
Alt-Obituaries community, the late Mr. Miller was a veritable godsend,
even if G-d didn't in fact send him but instead mere circumstance did.

And thanks as well to the bereaved widow Miller, who probably helped her
beloved maintain the site and thus affording us all the chance to
e-shoot our respective mouths off.
