Not to be confused with the photographer Shōji Ueda (1913-2000).

I LOVE "Ran." I need to watch it again.

(For those who don't know, it's similar to "King Lear." Don't know if
it's truly based on it or not, though.)

In 1980, he also worked on "Kagemusha: The Shadow Warrior," by Kurosawa.

And you have to look closely, but the accent over the "o" is different
from that in the photographer's name.
