Doris Arndt, who has died aged 89, was a petrol station attendant’s daughter who joined the German Circus Barclay and made her professional debut in the 1947-48 winter season billed as “Lola, the youngest tiger’s bride in the world today”. Later billed, variously, as “Dorita, the tiger’s bride” and simply as “Bianca,” she appeared with several circuses and also worked with lions and a variety of bears, including a troupe of 12 polar bears. In the 1957 summer season she took the bears to Britain, billed as “the world’s most fearless lady trainer with her beautiful snow white Arctic monsters”. 'T'wasn't spam on my part.

I had sseen a headline for Ms. Arndt's obit on the London Telegrsph's obit page and then -- the paywall came up.

Therefore, I searched Google and the only obit that availed itself was the fragmentary one which I posted above. That website ALSO required some sort of sign-up.

Hopefully, some other post-er can rejoinder with a flesh-out article.
