Meryl O'Loughlin

O'LOUGHLIN , Meryl
(73) Meryl earned her guardian angel wings on February 27 after a
courageous decade living with ovarian cancer. Meryl was first and
foremost a stellar mother to her children Christopher and Laura, and
the world's greatest grandmother to four year old Max.
Meryl's career in television and film spanned over 40 years, both as a
casting director and as an executive, starting in 1964 with "The Outer
Limits" and including television gems such as "The Mary Tyler Moore
Show", "Hart to Hart", and "The White Shadow". She ended her career
casting for "The Young and the Restless". In spite of her illness,
Meryl remained vibrant, taking classes on Shakespeare, attending
theater and spending heavenly days with her grandson.
In addition to her children and grandchild, she is survived by her
sister Eleanor, her ex-husband actor Gerald O'Loughlin and many more
adoring family and friends. Her physical presence will be missed, but
her spirit continues to glow in our hearts.
Donations in her honor can be made to "The Kidney Trust". (kid
