Some articles. Only trouble is, I'm not sure if the publication date was on January 1st or March 11th of 1818. (I'm in a rush.)

Will the celebrations be of Lilliputian or Brobdingnagian proportions?

Back in 1996, pre-Senator Al Franken was a fixture on Bill Maher's "Politically Incorrect" programme in a Liberal vs. Conservative segment call "Strange Bedfellows" in which he debated then-conservative Arianna Huffington.

Since Ben Stein, a conservative pundit, was contemporaneously making the rounds on similar political, I'm really surprised that nobody ever put together another liberal-vs.-conservative feature to have been called "Franken/Stein/"

It's ironic that Franken's self-help character Stuart Smalley once said "When you point a finger at somebody, you're pointing three fingers back at yourself."

No further comment.

Yes, turns out it was January 1st - but I couldn't get to a computer that day anyway.

(top one - includes a 16-minute Thomas Edison Film Company version from 1910, starring Charles Ogle! He was in 325 films.)
