In newspaper obit lingo, isn't this a euphemism for suicide?

In newspaper obit lingo, isn't this a euphemism for suicide?
In obituaries written by the newspaper it generally is used to mean
suicide or overdose, but in those written by the family it could mean
anything. Families aren't always tuned into obituary euphemisms. This
can be unfortunate in many cases, to say the least.

I am TOTALLY confused about her name. One of her sons is named Ronald
Jr. (Ronald *What* Jr?) and the other Roman Van (Roman Van Van Peebles
or just Roman Van?).

Her ex-husband is named Ron Van and her parents Melvin Van Peebles and
Maria Marx (divorced from Melvin or Maria Marx Van Peebles?).

So was her married name (when married to Ron Van) Megan Van Peebles
Van or Megan Van Van Peebles or what? Where the hell did all those
Vans come from?

Divorced. I've actually met her. Lovely woman.
